1. Introduction
Welcome to the World's Iconic Antarctica Obstacle Course Race! By participating in this event, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before registering.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years old on the date of the event and in good health. Proof of age and a completed medical form signed by a physician will be required.
3. Registration
- All participants must complete the registration form and pay the non-refundable deposit and subsequent payments as per the payment schedule.
- Registration is not transferable to another person without prior written approval from Worlds Iconic.
4. Payment Schedule
- A non-refundable deposit of $5,000 is due upon sign-up.
- A final payment of $24,000 is due on 5th September 2025.
5. Travel and Accommodation
- Event Dates: Participants must be in Punta Arenas by the 4th December 2025 for pre-event preparations.
- Antarctica Dates: The race will take place from the 7th to 12th December 2025.
- Travel to and from Antarctica, including flights, transfers, and accommodation in Antarctica, is included in the registration fee.
- International flights to and from the departure city of Punta Arenas, Chile, are not included.
- Hotel accommodation in Punta Arenas is not included, and participants are responsible for arranging their stay.
- Accommodation in Antarctica will be in shared tents or cabins, and meals will be provided during the event dates.
6. What is Included
The following are included in the registration fee:
- Airport transfers in Punta Arenas.
- Round-trip flight to Antarctica from Punta Arenas.
- Meals and tented accommodation in Antarctica.
- Antarctica guides and lectures.
- Celebration dinner, unique medal, and t-shirt.
- Achievement Certificate for completing the first-ever OCR on the continent of Antarctica.
- Ultimate bragging rights!
7. What is Not Included
The following are not included in the registration fee:
- Personal insurance coverage, including medical, evacuation, and personal belongings.
- Commercial flights to and from Punta Arenas, Chile.
- Airport transfers outside of Punta Arenas.
- Meals and additional accommodation in Punta Arenas outside of the specified dates.
- Personal equipment and clothing required for the race.
- Expenses incurred due to delays or itinerary changes.
- Luggage exceeding 55 lbs (25 kg) in weight.
- Satellite phone charges or any additional communication fees.
8. Health and Safety
- It is mandatory to have travel insurance that covers emergency medical evacuation and treatment.
- Participants agree to adhere to all safety guidelines provided by Worlds Iconic and the event organisers.
- In case of an emergency, participants must follow the instructions of the event medical team.
9. Weather and Environmental Conditions
- The race will take place in extreme weather conditions. Participants must be prepared for cold, wind, and potentially hazardous terrain.

10. Equipment and Gear
A mandatory gear list will be provided upon registration. Participants must bring all required equipment. Selective gear can be rented from Antarctic Logistics.
11. Code of Conduct
- Participants must respect the Antarctic environment and adhere to all guidelines for minimising environmental impact.
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
12. Liability Waiver
- Participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with participating in an obstacle course race in Antarctica.
- World's Iconic, its staff, affiliates, and sponsors are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during the event.
13. Media and Photography
- By participating in the race, participants grant Worlds Iconic the right to use their likeness in promotional materials, including photographs and videos, without compensation.
- Participants may bring personal cameras but agree not to interfere with the official event photographers or media crew.
14. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of Worlds Iconic, participants will receive a partial refund, minus any non-recoverable expenses.
- Participants who cancel their registration will not receive a refund of the registration fee or any other payments made.
15. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions will be resolved through mediation or arbitration per the laws of the jurisdiction where World’s Iconic is headquartered.
16. Amendments
World's Iconic reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Â Participants will be notified of any changes via email and the official event website.
17. Logistics and Course Construction
- The ground agent responsible for the logistics of the event is Antarctica Logistics.
- Antarctica Logistics will handle the construction of the course and the obstacle course, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards.
